Fourish shows happy hour prices and windows read from venues’ own public pages. Most of what the app does needs nothing from you at all.

This is the same policy the app ships in the You tab, at the same version. The app carries its own copy on purpose — a policy behind a link is unreachable on a plane and can change without the binary changing. This page exists because the App Store requires a URL.

What we store

Almost nothing, unless you create an account. Without one, your saved venues and your chosen neighborhood live only on this phone. The one exception is the area records described under Location below, which are written whether or not you have an account.

With an account we store your account identifier, your email address, and the list of venues you have saved. We also keep a short activity record — the times you signed in, exported your data or asked us to delete it — so we can show you that history and prove a deletion happened. You can see it in an export under “account activity”. The areas above are kept separately and are not tied to your account.

Location

If you allow it, your coordinates are sent with each search so venues can be ranked by distance. Searches are not written down. You can skip location entirely and type a neighborhood, city or ZIP instead.

One thing is written down. If you open the app somewhere we have never checked, we record that area so we can go and look and tell you when there is something there. What we keep is the area’s centre rounded to about a kilometre — not where you were standing — with an identifier for this installation, not for you. It is deleted after 30 days, or whenever you tap “Forget the areas I asked about” in the You tab.

Signing in

Sign-in is handled by Clerk, our authentication provider. Your password — if you use one — is theirs, not ours, and we never see it. If you sign in with Google or Apple we receive the email address they give us, which for Apple may be a private relay address.

Face ID

If you turn on “unlock with Face ID”, that check happens entirely on this device. We are never told whether it succeeded, and it is a lock on the app rather than a second password for your account.

What we do not do

No advertising identifiers. No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. Your saved venues are not sold, shared, or used to target anything at you.

Your data, on request

From the You tab you can export everything we hold as a readable file, and delete your account. Deletion removes your rows from our database and asks our authentication provider to delete your login. Your saved venues on this phone are cleared at the same time.

The areas you asked us to check are not part of that, because they are not tied to your account — they are keyed to this installation, so deleting an account cannot find them. Clear them with “Forget the areas I asked about”, or wait 30 days.

Rate limiting

To stop abuse we count requests against a coarse network class rather than your exact address. It is stored on the activity records above, so for those it sits beside your account identifier. It is never included in an export, because a network class describes traffic rather than you.
